Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker. Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. The father of her is Argentine who is of Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother has Spanish and English heritage. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's previous marriage. After having lived in Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult, and she didn't take the time to learn English and was hoping to go home to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to after she left Northlands. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London and took ballet classes as well as participated in plays. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting profession. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy had a dream to work as an actress. her dream came true when she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
