Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney (born November 19th, 1959)[2] is an American actress. Her performances on screen and on stage were a highlight of her career that spanned more than three decades. Janney received numerous accolades including an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. She also won seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney was also nominated for at least two Tony Awards. Janney, who was raised by her parents in Dayton and Boston with her parents, received a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to further her education after finishing Kenyon College. Janney made her television debut in 1999 in the role of C. J. Cregg, a role she played on NBC's political drama The West Wing (2000-2006). In the course of her work, she won four Primetime Emmy Awards for this role. In 2014, she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in Drama Series in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime period drama Masters of Sex. Her portrayal as Bonnie Plunkett
